School Programs

Bedford County Utility District has staff available to teach classes about water treatment to area schools. We teach our classes on the science of water treatment using everyday terminology which makes learning easy and fun.
We show students what must be done to make sure the water they drink at home is safe. The students become aware of what they pour on the ground can effect their drinking water.
We also offer tours of our water treatment plant on Halls Mill Road to show the students the process water goes through before it reaches the faucet in their home.
